In the field of Information Science it is critical to have a flexible vision for keeping the library relevant. Prior to the  pandemic, each of the libraries in Sarasota County was outfitted with a Creation Stations which contain 3-D printers, sewing machines, and other creative options. They were funded by the Library Foundation of Sarasota County. They have remained largely unused during Covid-19 but the hope is to reopen them eventually. Maker Spaces are a valuable part of keeping up with future trends for libraries and community spaces.
