Goal IV: Theory and Praxis

Students have a critical grounding in theoretical perspectives that draw on research in LIS as well as other fields of knowledge, that inform their professional practices including research, organization, management, and access to information.

Students will describe applications of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies in library and information science.

LIS 6271 Research Methods in Library and Information Sciences (CORE)

Research Paper: Cannabis Education and Florida Public Libraries

The purpose of this assignment is to synthesize the key concepts learned and apply the knowledge you have gained in this course by developing a research project grant proposal. Based on their understandings of research methodologies, apply knowledge to library and information science research.

Goal IV. b.
Students will identify opportunities for research and develop plans for research in applied settings in library and information science.

Research Presentation: Cannabis Education and Florida Public Libraries

The purposes of online presentation are 1) to have an opportunity to create virtual presentation and 2) to share each team’s proposal with their classmates.
